Daniel Conway Ph.D. is Company Chairman and Managing Director of our London office, whilst Barrett Stern handles business in New York. Nicholas Hai and Fraser Marcus head our fund management business. Harvey Soning in London and Jeffrey Moerdler in New York are Advisory Board members.
Biographies

Daniel Conway has a proven track record structuring and financing real estate transactions on both sides of the Atlantic. He is currently in partnership with Arrowcroft, in positioning Seagram Capital as a leading UK commercial Property Fund Manager.
Since 2007, Daniel has run and managed his own agency - Seagram Properties - which advises on and structures corporate and private equity property transactions. The firm has been involved in transactions worth over £200 million since its inception, including in 2008, one of the largest private sales in the UK to Residential Land, which attained a record-breaking price. In 2009, Daniel assisted one of the UK's leading Property Funds in quietly marketing some of its key assets, procuring buyers on six properties - all above valuation - during one of the most challenging times in the market. Daniel recently advised a UK Plc on the negotiation, sale and leaseback of an iconic 1,000,000 square feet bank headquarters in New York. He also restructured the office portfolio of Aegis Media.
From 2001-2007, Daniel was Executive Managing Director of Grubb & Ellis in New York where he consummated transactions in excess of 2,000,000 sq.ft. There he developed complex Real Estate strategies for numerous governmental, financial, medical and educational institutions including The Hospital for Special Surgery, the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, the Wella Corporation, Banco Popular, John Wiley Publishing and KDDI. His clients spanned numerous corporate bodies and hedge funds including, GLG, GLS, IVC and Urban America. Daniel served on the emergency team that relocated the General Services Administration and U.S. Customs out of the Twin Towers, keeping the agencies up and running in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks. This particular project won The Real Estate Board of New York's Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award.
Daniel has personally structured and financed numerous commercial, mixed use and residential developments on both sides of the Atlantic. He was a finalist on the development of Manhattan's Pier 57 as the 'The Hudson River Performing Arts Center' and has built a number of residential developments in the UK, mainly in South West and North West London. A former Harvard Teaching Fellow, Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Brandeis University.

Since 1978, Barrett Stern has been active in the New York City Area providing commercial real estate leasing, sales and consulting, with over 1000 transactions aggregating over 10 million square feet to his credit. In the course of his career, Barrett has represented a broad spectrum of New York City's corporations and building owners in numerous leasing and sales transactions. Regarded as a highly experienced, knowledgeable, creative and sophisticated commercial real estate broker/consultant, he has also participated as an Expert Witness in market conditions in several recent, high profile real estate arbitrations.
Since 2003, Barrett has been Executive Managing Director of Grubb & Ellis where he has been engaged in well over one million square feet of leasing, sales, expert witness opinion/testimony and consulting for both tenants and property owners. Current assignments include the recent 100% lease-up of the 675,000 square feet 35 story office tower at 22 Cortland Street; the ongoing repositioning of the office building at 145 E. 57th Street, and 150,000 square feet of corporate leasing engagements.
From 1996 through 2003, Barrett was Executive Managing Director with Murray Hill Properties where he was the most productive broker/consultant at the firm. From 1986 to 1996, he was President and sole principal of Broadwall Brokerage and Consulting Inc, specialising in sales, leasing and consulting in NYC and Long Island. Barrett sold Broadwall to Murray Hill Properties in 1996 and from 1978 through to 1986, he was Vice President of Helmsley-Spear where he was a leading broker for his entire tenure. Barrett began his real estate career at Williams Real Estate in 1974. Barrett is a career-long member of the Real Estate Board of New York, where he is an active member of six different committees: Building Agents Rental Committee, Grand Central Loft and Secondary Office Building Committee, Lower Manhattan Office Building, Midtown West Office Building District and the Plaza Office Building District. He is licensed in the state of New York and the state of New Jersey.

Nicholas Hai is a Managing Partner of Seagram Capital and has spent the last 15 years as Chief Executive of Arrowcroft Holdings Ltd, one of the leading privately owned property companies in the UK. He has been a director of the company since 1984. Arrowcroft's development and investment interests cover commercial, retail, leisure and industrial properties with a broad geographical spread. Projects under Nicholas' personal control have included a number of retail projects (average size 300,000 square feet) and several mixed - use developments, the largest being The Albert Dock in Liverpool, which at 1.3m square feet, is one of the country's largest groups of Grade 1 Listed buildings.
Nicholas has created a number of successful partnerships. Thus includes a joint venture with United Utilities (the UK's largest utility company) under which Arrowcroft developed more than a dozen sites including 500,000 square feet of business space and Faircroft, which has acquired in excess of £100m of assets. Prior to Arrowcroft, Nicholas spent 5 years as Estates Director of Allied Retailers where his portfolio spanned over 100 stores including the acquisition and development of 30 Allied Carpet superstores. He also spent 3 years in the United States where he established a firm of estate agents - Pilchers Inc - that subsequently took over Gregson real estate and then sold out to Merrill Lynch.

Fraser is a Managing Partner of Seagram Capital. Since 2007, he has been Head of Strategic Partnerships and Advisory, Europe and the Middle East, at Lehman Asset Management, the group within Investment Management which advises on asset allocation, portfolio construction and manager selection and manages portfolios on behalf of Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, Endowments, Foundations and ultra high net worth clients. Fraser joined Lehman after it acquired Dartmouth Capital Partners, a multi-family asset management and advisory firm that he founded in 2004. Prior to Dartmouth Capital, Fraser had an extensive career in Investment Banking, Private Equity and Global Capital Markets. At Salomon Brothers, over several periods of time, he headed the firm's European Debt and Equity Capital Markets Business, Investment Banking for Northern Europe and Co-Headed the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Fraser was also Managing Partner and co-founder of The Chief Executive Partnerships, a UK-focused private equity firm, as well as head of the Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance Groups at ING Barings where he also co-headed European Investment Banking.
Fraser graduated with honours from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1976.

Harvey Soning founded James Andrew International in 1975 following the first part of a career at Peachey Property Corporation and Guardian Properties (Holdings) Plc. Over the past 30 years he has been involved in many major property developments, investment acquisitions and disposals in the UK, Europe and the US. He is well known and highly respected within the property business.
He is Chairman of James Andrew RSW, which is involved in the management of many substantial City of London office buildings and commercial properties throughout the UK. He is also Chairman of the Templewood Group, which provides cleaning and security services - including explosive and drug sniffing dogs - to major high end retail, commercial and institutional clients, Central London, City of London & Holborn office buildings, as well as provincial shopping centres and schools. He was also Chairman of the Gresham Hotel Group from 2002-2004.

Jeff has been a commercial real estate attorney for over 25 years and now heads the Real Estate and Communications Sections at Mintz Levin in New York. He has represented large national companies, particularly in the high-tech, telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, supermarket, and oil and gas sectors.
He leads the largest practice in the country which specialises in both real estate and communications issues. He has extensive experience in the leasing, purchase, sale, and financing of rooftop antennas, switch facilities and data centers. He has also negotiated leases covering over one billion square feet of space.
Jeff is currently a member of the New York State Financial Control Board and also a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the New York State Bar Association. In the past, he has served in numerous governmental positions, including being a Member of the New York State Banking Board (New York's bank regulatory authority). Admitted to practice in the states of New York, Florida, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia, Jeff was elected to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers in 2002 and has been consistently named a New York Super Lawyer in The New York Times from 2006 onwards.
